This Privacy Policy explains how Setupp processes personal data for a two-sided talent marketplace for gaming, esports, and web3. Replace placeholder company details before production launch.
Controller
Setupp, [legal company name], [registered address], [company ID], [contact email].
Data We Process
Account details, profile information, company details, listings, applications, match activity, billing data, support messages, technical logs, and cookie preferences.
Why We Process Data
We process data to provide accounts and authentication, run marketplace features, process payments, send service emails, prevent abuse, comply with legal duties, and improve the product where permitted.
Payments and Subscriptions
When you start or manage a paid plan, billing details are processed by our payment provider. Setupp stores the plan status needed to unlock paid features, but does not store full card numbers.
Email Communications
We send transactional emails such as account, application, match, billing, and security messages when needed to provide the service. Product updates and newsletter emails are sent only if you actively opt in, and every marketing email should include an unsubscribe option.
Legal Bases
Depending on the feature, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent for optional cookies or marketing communications.
Processors
Current service providers may include trusted authentication, backend/database, payment, email, hosting, and analytics providers where needed to operate the product.
International Transfers
Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses should be used by the provider.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the service, legal compliance, dispute handling, security, and backups. Account data is deleted or anonymized after account closure unless retention is legally required.
Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent. You may also contact the Slovak Data Protection Authority if you believe your rights were violated.
